`Akule (Selar crumenophthal) Large schools are seasonally abundant in bays and harbors. Feeds upon zooplankton and preyed upon by larger fish. An important food fish in Hawai`i. Attains 11 inches. These `akule were caught off the coast of Maui, Hawai`i.
